Encoding Optimization question

Hi, I'm struggling with some encoding lag with many overlayed transparent video loops, is there an ideal video format for those videos to be in? Does it matter?
Some are .mov (probably bad), some are 4k, some are 60fps. I imagine 1080p (canvas size) and 30fps (output framerate) are smart, but before I re-encode anything, I want to know what video format is the most lightweight for OBS.

Can anyone help?
Thanks, sorry I couldn't find my answer elsewhere.

Keep them all in the same format, resolution and fps. Probably it's better to keep it at the same resolution and fps the output stream/recording have.
To me works better webm than mov or mp4. You can use ffmpg to remux your videos into webm (several guides on how to on the web), or use a program like handbrake.
Do not delete your original videos just in case.
