Question / Help Encoding error while streaming

Hi guys,

So my obs got an encoder error while streaming the new Call of Duty. It basically froze my stream, and i had to restart the whole thing, All other games work fine. And i don't get any encoding errors or lag, etc... It happened to me twice today when i was streaming. I think this is the correct log file. Also i have the latest nvidia drivers. If anyone is wondering why i'm running game mode on, you should check out one of the latest epos vox videos, where he explains and tests everything. Is it possible it has something to do with modern warfare itself ?

I have this problem too.

Happened 4 times over the space of 6 hours. The brief reading I have done so far suggested that it's a result of the running out of NVENC processes...I thought maybe that Ansel crap could be the problem...but I disabled it in the game and I don't even have Geforce Experience installed.

NVIDIA drivers are the latest too.

Hopefully an update to modern warfare, or nvidia drivers will fix this. I don't think it has anything to do with obs specifically.

I think they don't care if only few streamer have the problem...

i have the solution, dont download the newest geforce driver. with the old driver it works

Are you really sure about that? Can you tell witch driver version fixed the problem?

Alright will try with the 436.48 version and will report back. So you guys know if this really is 'the fix' for now.

Any luck guys? Just had problems with OBS and it was the first time using it after many months of SLOBS because of convenience but went back to try OBS Studio again because of the GPU allocation fix.

I'm sad to report that i had the error encoding while streaming again. Streamed for like 40 mins, then the problem happened again... So going back to previous drivers solves nothing for me.

Same here, even with Ray Tracing disabled... cant stream COD for now.

Can you guys try to use the older version of OBS? Like the 23? When i used that i didnt had this problem. Do a try if you can and let us know :)

i think we should let them know on twitter, what the problem is. They just released a quick patch today, but i don't see them mentioning our problem here. It the meantime, if someone will stream today, and he's not gonna get a stream encoder error, please let us know.

I don't think the problem is only COD, but this version of OBS with COD... because if you try with an older versione like the 23, the problem isnt appear anymore...

Just tried recording some gameplay, not streaming and previously it was throwing out the same error. I'v disabled game mode in windows and running obs with administrator and that seems to have fixed the problem for recording at least. Will try streaming later, to see what happens. Still on the same version, so 24.03, have not switched yet.
