So, I'm currently upgrading to the i7 6700k CPU and the GTX 1060 GPU. Coming from an AMD CPU, I used to use the x264 encoder. I've read elswhere that while the NVENC is amazing because it uses the gpu power (which I'm sure is going to be more than enough, given my new gpu), the video quality is going to be less than using an x264.
I'm assuming the i7 will be able to handle properly encoding 1080p recordings on ultra and still have some more left.
