Question / Help ELIF: I don't understand how Game Capture works

So I'm not the most tech savvy, but I'm pretty good about following instructions.

The short of it is, everytime I load into a full screen game, whether it's Civilization or League of Legends or whatever it just records a black screen. I've tried using the "Game Capture setting" but same thing, and I think part of that has to do with the fact that I have a scene setup with a Game capture and a monitor capture in my sources, and I'm wondering if maybe the recording isn't transitioning between the two? I feel like this is a really simple fix just based on my understanding, or lack thereof, of how to setup my sources and scenes

I only have i5 processor with an integrated graphics card, and no secondary graphics card, so I have hard time imagining that the game is operating separately from desktop, in terms of output. I've gone through as many basic tutorials as I could find in terms of setting up OBS. So I don't know, I don't really know how to problem solve this either. So any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

And no, I don't even know what a log is, so I don't know how to include a log file.

Add 'Game Capture' source to the current scene. Run obs as admin. You can alt-tab to obs to find the game already at the preview window. Then return to the game and continue recording.

New log? Where you enable admin mode and has only the 'Game Capture' source in the current Scene Collection.
