Question / Help Elgato quality looks worse in OBS

I'm using an Elgato Capture HD for recording console gameplay. I have a problem with a sort of "blurriness" when I pipe it into OBS, and it's most notable when playing on consoles that output 240p, 480i, and 480p.

The picture is with scaling set to "point." Turning scaling off makes it look even worse.

Sorry about the widths.
I had cropped the screenshots to get rid of black bars, and resized them to make them larger.
Because of the difference in quality, they both ended up with slightly different resolutions.

You really shouldn't.

You can compare videos by MediaInfo application. I think, you'll see the difference. Can you upload short samples (~5-10sec) form both programs?

No need anymore. I know the issue.

The Elgato software simply outputs at a crappy quality, whether you're recording or piping it to another program, and I can't find anyway to increase the quality.
(The top image in my post was actually just a screenshot from the Elgato software, which gave me the impression quality was being lowered through OBS.)
I, of course, contacted Elgato about this, but surprise surprise, they blamed OBS.
