Elgato Face Cam Pro delay in preview OBS

Am facing a minor delay in the preview of OBS studio when I am streaming 4k60 on my camera. My display capture works perfect and I can't really pinpoint if it also is affected my recording. Fun part is that if I click away from the window, it sometime get up to speed and another times slows down again randomly.

Is it in the setting or is there anything else I can do to change this?

My PC specs:
Processor: Intel i7 12th 12700
GPU: Geforce 4070
Ram 32gb: Corsair

I did try switching around in some settings in the log.
And i also tried to remove it to its own USB ROOT HUB in front of my PC still connected to a 3.0 USB

I tried putting my camera through camlink in 4k30 no lag. alt all you can actually see the lag coming from Elgato Facecam Pro its only a few ms but still...

Solution here on new years eve.
For the preview in Elgato Camera Hub Downgrade to 1.8
For the preview on OBS remove stream elements, and downgrade to 30.1.2. In the settings of the camera set match output FPS, and set the format in camera hub to 4k60.

Just putting in my ticket for Elgato reddit so you guys know the solution.

Huge fan of elgato products but this kinda made me sad.

Bought the Elgato Facecam Pro and encountered delayed issues in both Elgato Camera Hub and in OBS.

I see it in both of the preview sections when selecting 4k60 resolution and also in the recording in OBS.

Downgraded Elgato Camera Hub to v1.8 now the preview works smoothly even in 4k60.

But with OBS I feel like I tried everything...

EFFORTS:

- Re installed everything from scratch

- Selected the advised setting for the Elgato Facecam Pro in OBS:

  • Resolution/FPS Type: Custom
  • Resolution: 3840x2160
  • Video Format: MJPEG
  • Color Space: Rec. 709
  • Color Range: Limited
  • Buffering: Disable
- Tried the Device default for the Elgato Facecam Pro.

- Downgraded to versions of OBS I saw on youtube videos to match their versions of OBS and Elgato Camera Hub.

- Diabled HAGS in windows.

- Tried different videos setting in OBS.

- Ran OBS as an admin.

- Tried with 2 different PC's to test if the GPU was the problem.

- Tried placing Elgato Facecam Pro on an isolated USB ROOT.

- Tried using the virtual camera instead but getting a lower resolution when using Elgato Virtual Camera in OBS.

- Compared my Zv-e10 4k30 to check the delay.

But everything I select 4k60 It gets delayed 4k30 works perfect.

Now am kinda out of options and have to I guess offset the sync and video to match the Facecam Pro?

Or is there any other options left to try?

PC Setup:

- Intel i7 12700K

- 32GB Corsair Dominator

- GEFORCE 4070 RTX

- ASUS Z690 Motherboard

STATS:
One minut in recording.

UPDATE 01.01.25:
Changing it to H264 was a better video format for the video can minimize the delay but there was still a delay.

SOLUTION:

The solution for me was in the end putting a 200 ms delay in OBS on my screen capture and my mic, to adapt to the delay in the Facecam Pro and downgrade to Elgato Camerahub 1.8

Hope this helps other with the same setup as me experience a delay in the recording/preview when recording in 4k60. If there is anyone else that has the solution so I can stop delaying the output I would be very greatful.

LOG:
I have attached the log.
