Elgato Camera Virtual Shows Up In OBS Video Capture Device Drop Down But Displays Solid Green

I'm trying out the EpoCam app on my iPhone and Elgato Camera Hub on my Mac. Both are working - my camera image shows up in Elgato. When I open OBS and click the properties for the Virtual Capture Device, I choose the ECH, but all I see is green in my Preview and Program view. I tried deleting the VCD and add it back in, choose the ECH for my device but I'm just seeing Green. Similar thing is happening in Zoom, where ECH shows up as an option in Video > Camera, but no image displays. My iPhone is connected to my Mac with a USB cable. LMK if you need more information.
