Question / Help Elgato Cam Link - Audio sync issues

Hi,

I stream using Elgato Cam Link to capture the signal from my upscaler where my Nintendo 64 is connected through RGB SCART. The audio and video is in sync to begin with but starts to desync later and it incrementally gets worse until I reset the capture card ouput in OBS capture device properties and it repeats this way until I reset the output again. Audio and video is always in sync on my monitor.

I'll include a log file so anyone that knows a fix can take a look, I appreciate if there is someone who can help me out. Keep in mind I use no drivers with this capture card, it's plug and play and works out of the box this way and OBS recognizes it just fine. It's plugged in one of my Intel USB 3.0 ports on the rear of the computer. What I noticed is that OBS adds audio buffering according to the log file? Why?

Okay, sorry to bump this thread... Just wanted to make an update on this matter. I updated Windows 10 to the latest version: 1803 (April 2018 update) which also included updates to many system devices (chipset, USB3), reinstalled the capture card, readded the video capture source etc. and have not enabled the use of an additional sound source in its video capture properties, because there does not seem like a requirement to get the audio streamed.

I'll add more to this thread as I know more, I hope it will get completely fixed this way. I did some local recording with OBS, it still adds audio buffering (around 240ms last I checked in the logs) but could not hear any audio sync issues on the recording at all, it could however be different when I stream? I'll check more later when I have time.

This issue still goes on, even with all the things mentioned above, I got a VoD of this problem as well. I'm desperately looking for a developer to help me out, I'm out of ideas. According to the log OBS still adds audio buffering for some reason? It works for around 9 mins or so in the VoD, then the audio cuts out for a few seconds, after the few seconds passed audio plays again, but delayed, in seconds behind the video.

Hope a dev can find time to help me, I'm desperate... I added a new log file down below.
