Question / Help Elgato black screen issue

My friend has recently purchased an Elgato, and is attempting to livestream Black ops 2 from his xbox, it was done at first but a couple of days after streaming he got a black screen and is unable to fix it, he is using a laptop. Any help is appreciated, thank you :)

You really shouldn't be doing this for your friend. He should be doing this for himself. You seem to be a good friend but don't let your friends walk over you, okay?

Secondly I can't even diagnose anything without a log file anyway, we try to warn people every single time they view the forums, every single time they even make a post that they should give a log file if they have a problem, so it's just rather difficult to do anything to help if we don't have that unfortunately. Especially in this case where I can't see the specific error code which may be causing the black screen

It's at the top of the forum. In fact there's two stickied posts about it.

And you really should tell him to do it himself honestly. It actually makes me frustrated when I see this. It frustrates me because I have to go through a middle-man, it frustrates me that someone is asking his friend to do it for him, and it frustrates me because the actual user won't actually do it himself (minus the case where he's like physically or mentally disabled or something).
