Elgato analog video capture audio problem

I'm a bit new to this so please be patient. I have an Elgato analog video capture device, RCA to USB, and I can't seem to get OBS to capture audio. I can use the software that comes with the device and it captures audio, but the video quality is less than what OBS captures. Any suggestions for a newbie?

Thanks
Dave

As cyclemat suggested, you can try checking the 'use custom audio device' option in the video capture device properties, and setting it to the Elgato device.
Not all Elgato devices offer a discrete audio device though. One other workaround is to grab a 2x RCA to Minijack cable (standard headphone plug) and connect it to your motherboard's Line In port. Then just set the custom device to that Line In device. It's analog audio after all. If you run into sync issues, you can always adjust the sync offset in the advanced audio properties (note that Monitoring will not reflect sync delay adjustments, you need to do test recordings, or test it live on-stream and adjust to fit).
