What's up everyone, Well title says it. I'm just a little confused my xbox is running at 4k going to the 4k card but in OBS the base canvas is set to 1080. Should I change it to the 4k resolution or leave it ? Thanks for your help.

I just figured that if I was streaming a game from my pc the base canvas would be that of my monitor which is 1440p then scale it down to 1080p because that is what I'm streaming and recording. Now since my XBOX one x and PS4 pro are set to 4k I thought that the base canvas should be the same and then scale it down to 1080p. Am I wrong for thinking this. If we do it on PC game streaming shouldn't it be on on console gaming also ?
