Question / Help El gato isnt showing an image

So dont say reinstal program , drivers, etc. done it twitce for both obs and el gatos native program including all the drivers the device works in the native program and i can select it in obs but either one of 3 thing will happen 1. it will apear in the source list but it will be completely blank / transparent as if i added nothing 2. it will pop up and say one moment with the el gato logo 3. will show picture but in a 480 pixel ratio and my input is a 1080 and so is my stream normally this isnt a problem ive always had just one day it started doing this on and off and now its pretty much permanent. Also restarted my computer after each reinstall and unplugged all hdmi and usb cable from all end of devices/monitor/pc sooooo any got an answer for that. i would use the native prgram to stream but that is trash. please and thank you

excessive number of video capture devices pointing at the elgato.

Unplug the elgato device from your computer
Uninstall everything of elgato through Control Panel
Also delete all the sources relating to elgato / all video captures in OBS
Erase all current downloaded installers of Elgato

Download and install Ccleaner, run clean 2x (analyse > clean) do not back up anything, registry 2x (analyse > clean) same don't back up anything

Restart Computer

Okay now download the latest driver from Elgato and install it
Afterwards plug in your elgato, test that it does work through the elgato software
If all is well, close the elgato software, wait a few seconds then open OBS
Add a clean new Video Capture of the Elgato and hopefully it works

If it doesn't then your system has gone nuts :P
