Question / Help El Gato game capture

I am trying to get into streaming and have run into some issues. My computer has been struggling to record games at a high quality and I was wondering if the capture card could help with it. Would the capture card take off the strain recording causes on my CPU and allow me to record better quality?

It depends on the capture method you're using right now, but it probably won't help that much if you're already using Game Capture.
