Question / Help Echo with bass guitar and headset set as input device with VoiceMeeter

Hi,

Today I tried streaming in the Music section on Twitch for the first time (playing bass) and I ran into a slight issue with echo.

My setup is as follows:
-bass into my usb audio interface into my laptop
-Turtle Beach PX22 headset --> usb into laptop to power the in-line amp, mini jack into the headphone out of my interface
-in VoiceMeeter I have input 1 set as the headset, input 2 as the interface and the hardware output to my headset
-in OBS I have the desktop audio device set to Default and the mic/aux input to 'VoiceMeeter output'
-in the general audio settings I'm not sure what to set as the playback and recording device: VoiceMeeter, the headset, the interface,...

This way, and with a bit of level tweaking, I was able to use both the headset mic and the interface as inputs while still being able to hear myself play in my headset.

THE PROBLEM is that there's a very slight echo on my bass sound, but only I'm having this issue because none of the viewers do. I'm assuming it's because I have my headset plugged into both my laptop and the interface, correct?

Could you give any input about what may be causing the echo and how I can get rid of it? Is this an issue in OBS or just in the way I have everything set up?
