Echo and Audio issues while streaming

Hey OBS forum! Made an account for this because I can't get help anywhere else. So I'm trying to stream, but I'm getting echo from everything going on with the tests I've been doing. I've meddled around in the settings for quite a while, and I found a solution to the echo. Only problem is now I can't hear anything other than me. I had to change from my Speakers (which I've heard causes the audio loop) to the Realtek High Def Audio (which doesn't transmit the audio to begin with), so now I can hear myself crystal clear but I can't hear anyone or anything else going on. If you need pictures please respond.

Thanks!

No particular order....
turn the speaker volume down
get more distance between the mic and speakers
use headphones/earbuds instead of speakers
if you have a second monitoring computer, mute it's mike and speakers
set a noise gate filter on your mic (source=>mic=>filter=>noise gate=>adjust). Note - will still pass audio once threshold is breached so control your source.

Bonus - the noise suppression filter in OBS is great for taking out refrigerator and AC type noise. The limiter can be useful too, esp when theres a lot of dynamic range.

My first day here too, but have been wringing this out for several months. Others here obviously know waaaay more. I get schooled every time I boot up. Good luck!
