Yes, it does this automatically (crossfade). If it's freezing and jump-cutting, you need to remove your webcam from all scenes, add it as a Global Source, then re-add it to each scene from the Add->Global Source->(camname) menu.

The same goes for any capture card or device if you're playing on a console or something. The freeze is OBS waiting for the hardware to shut down, and missing the smooth crossfade (and in most cases, for the device to start up on the new scene).

It's been suggested a number of times before, but bugfixing/performance enhancements are a higher priority.
It'd be adding a whole new subsystem; setting an 'always use transition X with Y ms fade time' is one thing, but people would probably want per-scene config. At that point deciding if it's the 'to' scene or the 'from' scene that determines the transition to use, or adding hotkeyability and a 'transitions' list to the interface.

At the moment, getting stuff like capture cards working well, fixing crashes, taking care of the mic sync issues and so on are further up the docket.

Cheers!

Yea, people came up with lots of suggestions lately, though fixing all the bugs and making stable releases is a top priority for OBS team.

I would like to have Scene group profiles. Like u premade a set of scenes for a game (LoL, DotA, CoD) and on OBS startup u get to choose what u will be streaming, and OBS loads up your premade scenes for that specific game that u want to stream.
