Question / Help Dxtory and OBS

When I set my camera source, I pick 1280x720 (letting Dxtory downsize the video stream from 1920x1080)
I did this because it was recommended to do that with xSplit and set xsplits res to 1280x720.

With OBS I'm confused with how the program will interact with the 1280x720 because in general settings I have base res to 1920x1080 and the downscale set to 1280x720 for when I stream with programs that have windowed mode. Would there be issues with both of the programs set to downsize the video? Should I set dxtory to output at full res and just let OBS downsize it?

There might be some issues, such as the video being downsized twice, but I'm not completely sure. I don't know if OBS has a check in place to check the size of the video, and see if it needs to be downscaled at all. That's something Jim will probably have to answer.

At the moment, I have dxtory output at my native resolution, and I have OBS downsize it. That hasn't given me any problems yet, and seems to work just fine.
