Hey guys,
So I've been having this weird issue with OBS Studio on Windows 10 where there's a few duplicate frames in a second every few seconds and I'm wondering what the deal is. Using other software to record a short session hasn't had these issues (recorded a similar clip to the video in amarectv with the Lagarith codec with no duplicate frames). I've had this issue across 3 different computers. I had the stats dock view in OBS while recording, and it said 0 dropped frames for rendering and 0 skipped frames for the encoder, so I'm not exactly sure where the frames are going. there's a few things I could think of that'd be causing it. It could be something with the directshow implementation, something with directshow itself, or perhaps it misses frames while writing to the file. I've also noticed small stutters in the preview as well, but I've known OBS preview has never been perfect.
This was the encoder settings for the test video I just did, however I've had the same issue crop up with x264 and quicksync (the gfycat was x264). The canvas was a 720p canvas set for 60fps
If anyone would have any insight as to why I'm seeing duplicates in my recordings, any help would be greatly appreciated
