Alright, so i'm streaming at 1280x720 at 60 fps and my fps still looks a little bit stuttery. i'm not sure why it's like this but here's what it looks like: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/527795356?filter=archives&sort=time The quality itself looks fine to me but its the fps that makes this look weird. When I turn theres visible skips while in my friend's stream its very smooth. he also has a similar setup with the same capture card. --> https://www.twitch.tv/videos/502158728?filter=archives&sort=time

Also you'll find in the log file that I tried a few different presets but couldn't really tell them apart. i believe I also attempted custom buffer size but that didnt change anything from what I saw so I kept it off.

Can't watch your video, as it's sub-only.

From the rendering/encoding side of things though, OBS is reporting absolutely no frame lag, so whatever it's receiving from your capture card is being transferred without issue to the final output. That means whatever stuttering you're seeing is either an artifact of playing the video back, or the 4k60 isn't giving OBS a smooth 60fps video feed (or, your gaming computer isn't giving your 4k60 something it can output as smooth 60fps).

video is public so you can now see my issue.

ALRIGHT! So I've found the main source of my problems, its not the obs settings on the streaming pc, its the preview source on the gaming pc. For some reason it lags and doesnt actually display at 60 fps. I dont really know how to fix this because it is just an extension of my main monitor but that is for sure the source of the issue im having. I dont know what I should do.

The preview window is definitely a known source of lagged frames. Just from personal experience, I've never been able to have a perfectly smooth 60fps output, although 30fps is fine on a 60fps monitor (this is a long-standing issue with windows 10, nvidia cards, and framerate halving).

If you want to have actual smooth output, you'll need to output directly to the capture card. Run your main GPU output to your capture card's input, and send the capture card's output back to your main gaming monitor.

Ok guys so I found a solution! Make sure you clone the displays together if you have a 144hz+ monitor to ensure that the fps does not get capped! Do NOT use extend displays.
