Question / Help Dual PC Stream Wiring Question

Hello,

I just bought a second PC and I am setting up the wiring between them. I have a DVI-D cable running from my monitor to my graphics card on my main PC. If I connect my second PC to the main PC via a hdmi cable instead of a DVI-D cable would this degrade the picture quality being sent from my main PC to the second PC? I'm using the avermedia live hd capture card.

I think the signal is pretty similar between dvi and hdmi, they just have different other features. For example Dual-Link or Audio Signal transfer, or the option to connect VGA without a converter.
The quality should be equal and in the end, your Avermedia, I guess Live Gamer HD, has HDMI input, so at this point it will use HDMI anyway. And with HDMI on both ends of the cable you have the option to use it to send your sound over.
