Dual PC Capture Card Setup introduces a ton of micro stutters into OBS preview that transfers to recording/stream

Test record without the capture card. Make sure it's not the problem.

Yeah, you're only scratching the surface. That system can do way more than that too.

I can't comment on the new drivers, I'm still using the last studio driver before the 4000 series was released.

Gaming PC driver 531.41

Streaming PC driver 536.67?

My 3090 driver 522.30

The test I ran earlier, I was recording 2160p w/NVENC & streaming 2160p, 1080p & 720p w/QSV. The QSV encoder was only 67% utilized, NVENC was @ 72%

While testing the uhd 770 I noticed it said 100% utilization in the task manager, but 3d and video encoding were at ~15% and 60%.

Also I'm curious if overclocking the uhd 770 would help boost encoding performance or not if one was seeing encoder over load with it.

Learned the uhd 770 has 2 video codec engines enabled which really does make it the perfect pair with my 3090 so I can encode my 3 needs at once!

Time to do some testing to see if this really is it.

3D is the encoder in Task Manager & it always matches the overall utilization %. Keep on eye on it, if you see any lag, just use a faster Preset. I use Slow for my main outgoing stream & Very Fast for the lower resolutions.

Depends, the iGPU performance does scale with the CPU. I never bothered to OC my rig, don't need it, already more power than I need 99% of the time.

Can't beat it for extra $20 bucks & no 3090 nerf!!

Something to think about for the gaming PC, if not enabled already. It does seem to provide some uplift, works well with our hardware & I have no complaints to report after 3 weeks of testing.

Thanks for this I'll check it out!
