Hi there, hope you're all having a nice holiday season, whatever you may celebrate.
First off, I used the guide from here a number of months ago and had great success. No real issues that wasn't fixed with some tweaking (https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/q-a-about-dual-pc-stream-audio-setup.156/) I bought all the parts recommended from this guide and set it up from the nice picture it had before it disappeared from the guide.
My issue I'm having is that suddenly my mixer I'm using (Behringer Q802USB) is no longer picking up my gaming PC audio, and instead, I can hear my streaming PC audio through my gaming PC, or nothing at all if I mess with some settings. Kinda cool, but not what I'm looking for. Nothing is unplugged (checked many times).
The only things which changed at all were automatic windows updates, and unplugging my streaming PC for a bit to work on a friend's computer. Plugged it back in and now these issues pop up.
Streaming PC settings are still the same in Windows as they were before the problems.
Recording: Mixer (3- USB Audio CODEC Default Device) > listen to this device > 2 channel 16 bit, 48000 hz (DVD quality) > disable allow applications to take exclusive control of this device. Volume is at 100%.
Playback: Speakers (3- USB Audio CODEC Default Device) - this is what is allowing me to suddenly hear my streaming PC sounds (anything/everything) on my gaming PC. Never had to change anything here before. Setting this anywhere other than this setting disables the sound that I can hear, but OBS still picks it up (setting the default to Digital Audio S/PDIF for instance, disables my ability to hear things on my streaming PC).
The only thing that varies a bit from the above guide is that I do use a audio splitter on my gaming PC audio so that I can have speakers plugged in at the same time as the other output going to the hum eliminator > mixer - which has never once caused any problems. It seems to have taken the opposite effect that it previously did, as I said before - it seems to be somehow taking audio from my streaming PC instead of my gaming PC. How strange.
Here's the latest few second preview I did so that I could get the latest log - apologies for not knowing how to make it in a small and fancy window - not really into programming. It's pretty short anyway. Thank you for any possible assistance anyone can provide
