Question / Help Dropping 40-60% of frames, U/D speeds stable

I am at a loss here... I have no clue what to do now. I've changed my connection from wifi to hardwire, disabled firewall and antivirus, tried different streaming sites, and tried different servers but still dropping over half my frames... Bitrate is 2000, with fps at 30. Close to 50 down and 5 up. Any other suggestions?

I'm having this problem too, but oddly with OBS Studio only. OBS Classic streams my game with ~1-2% dropped frames. OBS Studio running the same settings to the same server streams my game with 50-80% dropped frames, supposedly due to bandwidth.

Try the OBS Classic. See if it works for you, because that's the only thing I can do as far as I can tell.

Weird. The new network settings option in advanced fixed my issue and I went from dropping most frames to dropping none on Studio. But that doesn't make sense - non-blocking sockets should be faster than an event-based exchange.

That could mean you have some 3rd party stuff that's interfering with the non-blocking API but not the event API. As you say, they should perform nearly identically.
