Question / Help Dropping 100 frames at once suddenly and disconnecting

9000 kbps upload, 115000 kbps download

I've streamed for a year with the same settings without having any of these problems, I did tweak them a little to get everything to look smooth at the lowest bit rates possible originally, but now I'm dropping frames and connection to two servers.

Since I changed server and raised bitrate at the same time after determining as far as I can tell it wasn't a bitrate problem, the next thing I'm going to down is lower the bitrate all of the way down again, since I set it at the rate which was recommended, but that seems too high. I'm stumped.

Trying various settings, 500-3k bitrate, I usually use a bitrate of 900 which I've used for a long time, although my upload speed has probably improved since then as my ISP automatically upgrades itself. It seems to be still recommending me to try bit rates lower than 500 kbps, alternatively I can keep resolution settings.
Different servers (my closest Twitch options are London and Paris)

Older logs towards the bottom (I think, not sure about top 3). As you can see, I didn't use to have problems with dropping frames, but I don't know what happened. All logs think the server is slow (I'm in England, so London should be the closest), and the ones that say old OBS, that's probably because those logs are months old.

JTVPing? I just did that a second ago. 17ms average from London, and europe between 20-30ms. The rest are much worse. I can screenshot if you still need.

Wait, sorry, I had a brain fart and only looked at the servers, that is a much different test. Ok brb.

JTVPing only tests the ping times, and doesn't actually do a bandwidth and connection quality test.

You could have awesome ping times to a given server and have absolute crap all for bandwidth and connection quality.

It failed London and Australia. I think it may have failed randomly due to bad luck, so I'll try again. Or maybe my stream will be fine if I switch to Paris/something and use my normal bitrate (was going to be my next test but you answered quickly).

edit: not sure if tinypic is working, so I removed that one, going to use something else.

first test, all servers, AU and UK failed

second test, europe only

I'm going to google Killer NIC a little while I wait. In Device Manager my network adapters are listed as:
Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)
Evolve Virtual Ethernet Adapter
Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260
Killer e2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controlller (NDIS 6.30)

I don't know if that's any help at all, I don't know anything about network adapters.

I dropped bitrate back down to 950. Frankfurt seemed to have the same problem, after a while, 100 frames dropped at once and it disconnected. I'm going to try again with bitrate lower than 500 and CZ, Prague, but I'm stumped.

Update: Prague disconnected after less than a minute. Will try Paris, 300 bitrate and lowering resolution. Is there any point where setting the bitrate too low backfires and causes more disconnection problems than it solves?

Game Capture works now (vs Window Capture) for this game, going to try that too.

No, but you probably have an internet provider problem when you're having this much trouble finding a server to use.

Yeah that's what I thought too. Right now, I think I'm on Paris, with 300 bitrate, and I switched to Game Capture since that works now, and I haven't been disconnected yet after 18 minutes, so fingers crossed. The farthest I got yesterday was around 30 minutes without a d/c though.

Nope, even with a different server, 300 bitrate, and Game Capture it crashed again.

I have to raise the bit rate, because people can't read the game's text, and lowering it doesn't seem to help. I don't know what else I can do to stop the frames dropping/disconnections.

edit: rang up my ISP.

edit: they changed a few things their end, but I still got dropped, trying different bitrate.
