Question / Help Dropped Frames/Low FPS

First, let me start off by saying that I love this program so much more than XSplit, and I even paid for XSplit while I can't stand it. I'd really love to start streaming and judging by what I've read, I should have no problems streaming, but here's the issue: Dropped frames and low FPS in-game.

Specs:
Windows 7 (64-bit)
Intel i7 960 @ 3.20 GHz Processor
ASUS Sabertooth X58 Motherboard
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB DDR3 RAM
EVGA GeForce GTX 660 Ti Graphics Card
Dual 1080p displays
Speedtest

Settings in OBS:
Base Resolution: 1920x1080 (Stream down-scaling to 720p)
FPS: 25

I guess another one of my major issues that I have is that I've tried all sorts of bit rates, but nothing seems to help me NOT drop frames. Any help would be appreciated because I dumped a lot of money into this PC to be able to start streaming and it's really irritating that I can't get anything to work right.

Here's a video of what I'm talking about. The dropped frames come towards the middle of the video, FPS issues, the beginning. Even though enabling VSync helped a little bit, it still felt like I was getting 20 FPS and was very annoying to play with and not enjoyable in the slightest.

Any ideas would be a tremendous help because I've asked all the techies I know on how to fix this problem, but it seems no one has any clue.

If it's not related to your server selection, then I think there might be another bug in the app currently. Not entirely sure, but we're checking it out.

However, I can tell you one problem which may or may not be related - you're using monitor capture with aero enabled on windows 7. If you're using monitor capture a lot, you really need to consider disabling aero to prevent performance issues and other things like that. Should increase your FPS to 30 too, 25 is painfully low.

I've tried disabling Aero but it doesn't seem to help too much, maybe an extra frame or two, which is why I didn't bother to turn it off.

I'll give it another shot tomorrow when I get back out of work and report back here with what I find.

P.S. - It's not just OBS I have this problem with, I have the same issues with XSplit and cannot figure it out.

The thing is, disabling Aero on Windows 7 while using software capture should help considerably. Tried with the latest drivers released by Nvidia a few days ago? If not, update and report back, leaving Aero off should help considerably.

So I streamed League of Legends after disabling Aero and setting the server to New York and it went well. No dropped frames, no really bad lag. Next test is Minecraft tomorrow. I'll post my results after that.

Also, before I tried to stream Minecraft, I was able to stream League of Legends for two hours straight with zero dropped frames, so it seems to be just a problem with Minecraft apparently.
