Question / Help Dropped Frames in Local Recording

Apparently I have Encoder lags which cause dropped frames and thus make my recordings lag.
I'm not sure what exactly to change in the options so I hope you can help me.

Here is the log:

Your settings aren't horrible, but your CPU is pretty weak, but you should still be able to local record.

What are you recording? Can you use Game Capture? Its generally the fastest.

Set your Scene buffering time to 700 instead of 400.

Try to use the NVEnc encoding method instead of x264. Then set the preset to High Performance. This should get you up and running even if you can't change the other settings.

If you can't use NVEnc for some reason, you'll have to change your x264 preset, setting it down to SuperFast or UltraFast. Ideally you want the Duplicated Frames to be less than 1%.

I only used the Window Capture because the Game Capture wasn't working (game is BioShock).
I set the buffering time back to 700 I had it like that originally and just changed because I saw it somewhere on the Forum.
NVEnc encoder didn't work so I set x264 to superfast and that seems to have eliminated the lag I just hope the quality is still decent enough (not good at judging that kind of thing myself)
So thanks for the quick and efficient help.

Your video card supports NVEnc, but it requires a recent driver. If your driver is old, you might try that. Anyways glad its working better. Since you're doing local recording, if you think the quality is too bad you can just increase the bitrate to compensate.
