So I just started getting into recording my games to post to youtube and such and when I'm running OBS my framerate is almost halved. I watched a couple videos on how to properly set up OBS for optimal performance but something seems off. Currently OBS is showing about 15 FPS on average and in game (World of Warcraft) it drops from 60 to 30 ish.
Now first I think my setup can handle all the software at hand
GTX 1070
intel i7-6800k
16gb ram
OBS settings (I think are of value in this situation)
FPS in OBS (Common FPS Values - 60)
Using NVENC H.264 encoder
40,000 Bitrate
1920x1080 res

I think I'm just missing something, I just don't know why my FPS is so low.
