Bug Report Dropped Frame Counter Bug

Hey all. This is actually a very long-standing bug in OBS Studio but I couldn't find any posts on it so maybe it hasn't been reported yet.

There's a bug in the dropped frame counter. Simply put, if you have any number of dropped frames when streaming (which sadly happens to me not infrequently right now due to long-standing Internet issues), the next time you start streaming, the dropped counter and the percentage meter go way into the negative, rather than reset to 0. You have to restart the application for this issue to clear (mine runs on a server that I control with hotkeys and restarting it every stream isn't the easiest thing.) This can be reproduced 100% of the time.

A relatively minor issue but hopefully one that's also easy to fix and has been around for a long time. Thanks.

I certainly can but the logs don't typically capture anything regarding that so I'm not sure what help they'll be. It's definitely a bug in the software that's affected others I know.

I'll grab logs after my next stream and drop them here. Thanks.

The logs capture your streaming settings, which could indicate why the dropped frame counter is acting strangely. For example, there is a known issue with FTL output on Mixer that causes negative dropped frame counts.

Welp, you actually just answered my question but I stream on Mixer. :)

I looked around before posting but couldn't find any reports about that. So that's a known issue that in the queue for some day? If so, that's all I need to know.

Thanks!
