I have a very, very low upload rate. As such, I had to do a lot of fiddling to try to get settings to be just right so that I could push a consistent quality stream. Part of that involved tricking OBS into doing what I wanted it to do, which is why I make this feature suggestion.
OBS can already downscale by more than 3x if you trick it into doing so, so why is there not the option to do so by default? OBS has been kind to me, I don't want to keep lying to it in order to downscale by 4.5x.
