Downscale Question

Hi,

Does downscale to 720p take load from the system or do load?

Actual: 1080p canvas / 1080p output

If I downscale now to 720p get the system more loaded of load taken?

Because I want to have a little bit more power for the game?

My understanding is that downscaling does require some resources but it's nothing a modern system couldn't handle. Essentially, by sacrificing some resources to decrease the output quality, you generate less data, conserving bandwidth and/or storage space.
So it's a bit of a paradox. You lose performance (although marginally) AND you get less data.
However, it is very useful for streaming if you are limited by your internet connection.

Unless you are looking to upgrade your hardware, the best way to increase game performance is to turn down some graphics settings or play at a lower resolution.
