Question / Help Downscale or fixed resolution?

Simple question: Does it matter if you use a "fixed" size(video > Custom: 1280x720) or downscale from my native resolution?
If it matters my native resolution is 1920x1080, so the downscale would be 1.50.

I mean, does it give you any kind of performance or is it just personal matter?

Let's put it this way -- you set the base resolution of OBS to whatever resolution it is you're streaming. So, if you're intending to capture something that has a 1080p resolution, you actually should set the base resolution of OBS that resolution. Otherwise you may end up not actually capturing the full image.

The resolution downscale is just that -- to then downscale that resolution to what you actually want to put on-stream.

Well, the solution for this is to just right-click the game capture/monitor capture or whatever the person is using > Position/size > Fit to screen.

So I guess there is no real difference by doing this then?
