Question / Help Downscale Filter - Increased CPU or GPU Usage

I have a 560ti and a 4770k, both overclocked. I'm down-scaling from 1080p to 720p. I'd like to use Lanczos but I'm curious as to what resources these filters will be using as I would like to avoid anything that will tax my GPU any further. Just looking for additional ways to use up some more CPU power and make the stream look better.

(My 4770k is overclocked to 4.5ghz and doesn't seem to go above 50% usage. x264 preset is set to medium)

Downscale filters use more GPU. For reference, on my old 470, I saw MAYBE 1 or 2 FPS difference using Lanczos vs Bilinear.

If you want to use more CPU, use a slower encoding preset. It'll improve your image fidelity by compressing at a higher quality.
But yeah, Bilinear vs Lanczos downscale changes very little as far as utilization, but Lanczos generally does look better overall.
