Question / Help Double audio confusion

Hello!

So I just got a webcam yesterday (Logitech C310) and during my stream, the webcam audio would start playing twice.

Restarting the stream would remedy the issue for a little while, but then the doubling would come back.

I then decided, screw it, I'll turn off the webcam audio for today, but when I did that, the webcam audio was still audible, but back to normal.

So apparently the webcam audio is feeding into the stream twice, but I'm not sure why. I have listening off in the Windows control panel.

Is the microphone setting in the OBS settings panel disjoint from the audio setting in the source settings? Should I only have one of those enabled at a time? If so then that's probably the issue.

The audio is coming in through USB if that means anything.

Video capture devices can have their own audio sources separate from what is defined under Settings > Audio, yes. If your webcam has a mic it can be disabled by right clicking on its source and selecting properties, then looking in the Audio section of the properties window that appears.
