Question / Help DOOM OBS Studio not working?

I'm able to game capture Doom 4 just fine using OBS Studio and a GTX 970. I suspect this is an AMD driver issue. It wouldn't be the first time they've had issues with an OpenGL title, look at the problems people have had forever capturing Minecraft on R9 series cards.

Could you post 'Game Capture' settings and the game video settings? How long you capture it (hour, two, half)? I think, it may become helpful for others.

Ran OBS Studio as admin, 100% default game capture settings (I had accidentally removed it from my scene collection earlier and had to add it back), latest game-ready drivers for Doom 4. Streamed for ~2 hours with no issue. The re-hook in the log was a result of switching from fullscreen to borderless mode in the game, however both were hooked automatically.

if you are using 2 or more graphic cards, dont for this game because there is no official support

Try to setup Settings>Advanced>Renderer : Direct3D 11
(Sapiens, did this setting for the game capture)

this is an amd problem it has nothing to do with nvidia. so stop saying it works for you when you have nvidia.

I can't stream the game after the update to the game, it no longer shows the game in obs at all. very frustrating

If you switched to the Vulkan renderer, that's why. Vulkan isn't supported. Switch back to OpenGL.

OK so I don't know if this works for you guys, but i had this problem and for some reason it just works if you go to the scenes toolbar and deselect your current scene and reselect it.
