Question / Help Doesn't start recording immediately?

So I just tested how it would work out to record my Webcam through OBS and my game through BandiCam (I use bandicam because it doesn't make my fps drop from 110 to 23 but from 110 to 70) so I had both start/stop recording keys for both programs as F9, went into CS, loaded up casual and pressed F9. Finished one round and closed CSGO, opened Vegas Pro and checked if it synced. Well I got it
to sync using the audio, no real difference there, but OBS started to record pretty accurately five seconds late.

Yes, it takes a bit of time to set up the file, set its hooks, start recording, and normalize bitrate. This is completely normal, and working as intended. It isn't an instant-grab unless you're streaming and use the Replay Buffer feature to grab a set chunk of gameplay from the past.

If you want to have a precisely accurate starting point, record early and use a video editor to trim it.
