Does YouTube Studio need to be open?

When I click "Start Streaming" it doesn't work until I open up YouTube Studio.
I never used to have to have YouTube Studio open. Has something changed?

Yes, this seems to be a new requirement by YouTube.

We wrote a script with the API to schedule a stream as a workaround to this. Got the app verified and everything. It worked for a couple of weeks, then stopped working. Now we have to have the schedule open before the stream starts.

Thanks Mango. I'll make sure we have it open from now on. Its a little bit annoying as its an extra step but what can I do eh.
