Question / Help Does turning off local recording decrease CPU usage?

So right now I'm streaming with recording on also, I like to do this because twitch only archieves up to 30 minutes if you aren't partnered and I want to catch good moments. But for a lot of game I get choppy performance due to heavy CPU load. Would disabled local recording while recording make a noticeable difference to the lag?
 
No, it would not. Saving a local recording does not add any encoder load because you're just saving what you're already encoding for the stream.
 
Just make sure you're recording to FLV, not MP4. MP4 can cause odd high-CPU issues, especially on long-duration recordings. If you need MP4, it's simple to transmux over later.
