Question / Help does the bit rate affect my editing software?

So I currently use sony movie studio platinum 13 and I put my video from obs into it and I get a really bad motion blur or a glitched texture. I use 5000 bit rate and when I have my video from obs in my files it looks just fine but when I put it into my software it looks odd. Is it because of my software or my bitrate................or something else?

You could turn the bitrate up for sure. Something like 10k to 15k would look better. But I think you'd be best off by using this guide to record with OBS: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-make-high-quality-local-recordings.16

Also make sure the Smart Re-Sample (or whatever its called) is disabled in Vegas... right click each file you import into your timeline and do that or else it'll do bad things when it renders.

Glad to hear that was it. I'd buy a new version of Vegas today if it had a global setting to default to that being disabled for everything... most troublesome "feature" ever.
