Question / Help does OBS update my software automatically?

I have not yet checked if my software is out of date yet but I have not checked of OBS updates to the most recent release. So my question is does OBS update to the most recent release when I open the software?

Edit: some spelling and I wanted to say OBS is seriously the best boradcasting software I have used and I have tried a few. I will donate $5 bucks right now (Cheap-o!) If I get a link to where to do so in any responses! thanks!

You can currently donate via the link at the top. They only open donations when Jim needs to get some new hardware to test with.
