Does anyone know how to record Zoom video in 10-bit 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 in Windows 11 from OBS Studio?

I have a Core i9 24-Core CPU + RTX 4090 Graphics + 32GB DDR5 RAM & 1TB SSD laptop running Zoom and OBS Studio. Is this sufficient for hardware encoding 10-bit 4:2:0 or 10-bit 4:2:2 video in 1920 x 1080 resolution, or do I need an external encoder? Is there something I have to do to turbo charge the NVIDIA graphics encoder to handle this? There's 16 GB on the graphics card. Has anyone tried this?

Does Zoom even do 10-bit? I doubt it. It's heavily compressed to fit through a not-so-good internet connection. Probably more like 6-bit or even 4-bit, practically. No point in adding information that isn't there to start with.

I am currently recording Zoom in OBS using 8-bit 4:2:0 encoding to mp4 files at 1920 x 1080 30fps.

What AaronD was trying to say is that there is probably no point in trying to record Zoom with some 10 bit color space, because probably Zoom (as a simple office app) isn't creating 10 bit colors in the first place. 10 bit is HDR, and I'm quite sure as well that Zoom isn't creating HDR output. So just record with the standard settings and you're fine.

Understood and probably correct. I thought it might affect the resolution of pdf file sharing. I am using external devices to record in 10-bit 4:2:0 at 1920 x 1080. Everything looks good.
