Question / Help Does a recording with unused audio tracks use up space or performance?

I want to record video only - no audio whatsoever. But despite muting audio I still see the audio tracks show up in video editors and in video properties.

Damn audio settings are everywhere -
  • The mute buttons on the main interface
  • Settings > Audio
  • Settings > Output (Advanced) > Audio
  • Settings > Output (Advanced) > Recording > Audio tracks
  • Settings > Advanced > Audio
  • Edit > Advanced Audio Properties
Good lord this is a mess.

Even if it's negligible, I'd prefer to remove every bit of data not being used, including unused audio tracks. Is there any way to do this?
