I got a capture card that works on MacOS but it doesn't have passthrough. My PC isn't a problem with multiple outputs, that is what I tried my card on, no lag on my second monitor but there is lag in the OBS capture. I was thinking of getting a splitter so I can run a consoles output to my capture card and my second monitor. Do splitters introduce lag? Or should I just sell my card and get one with passthrough? The card captures great, it a Magewell, but there is lag on the OBS capture.
I hope someone like me got a card without passthrough and had to figure this out! I hope the lag is just from getting the signal from the capture card to the mac and this won't be present on a splitter.
EDIT: So yeah, my video card does have multiple HDMI outputs, I don't really need this for my PC but game consoles that only have one HDMI output. I put that in there to reflect that.
