Question / Help Distribute GPU usage

Somewhere on reddit i read OBS uses a lot of the systems GPU, which is one of the reason it is CPU friendlier than xsplit.
I have a quite old GPU (ATI HD 5770) which might be the cause of some FPS drops. But i also have an Intel i5 3570K which has a graphic processor included (intel hd graphics). I have my 2nd monitor connected to the mainboard, so I think it uses the Intel HD processor.

I was wondering if the is any way to distribute the GPU usage of OBS between the GPUs of my System.

By running OBS on the Intel GPU and your game on the ATI GPU, you're already distributing the GPU usage between your two GPUs.

I have done that using Virtu MVP for testing purposes but it was really tricky to set up as OBS is not officially supported.
I had to start preview, stop preview, switch OBS to discrete GPU in Virtu MVP then switch back to integrated GPU. Only then would OBS use the Intel HD4000, which I verified with GPU-Z.

You may find this ironic, but the application performs its best when everything is running on the same GPU. Making things run on multiple GPUs would actually be worse even with your poor GPU. I'm not sure what I could recommend outside of simply upgrading your GPU.
