Distorted & choppy audio when HD SDI is captured using a Decklink SDI Micro

When using OBS to capture a HD-SDI stream the audio is virtually inaudible. If I capture the same stream with Media Express the audio is fine. I'm using OBS version 30.1.2. Linux Xubuntu 23.1. I've tried various frame rates and resolution options for the video and tried both audio sample rates in the OBS settings. Nothing I do makes any difference. Any suggestions & help would be appreciated. Thanks
