Display not recognized while trying to use obs on a PC that I'm controlling from remote

Hello,
I work in a videogame company and we use OBS to capture the game.
Everything is fine when I work on my PC.

Now, because of Covid, I'm working from home and I'm remote controlling my PC in the office (actually my former office pc is with me at home and I'm controlling another PC but there's no difference) and I don't know why the display capture appears black.

Another strange thing is that OBS recognizes 2 displays while the PC in the office has only one plugged in, BUT I'm remoting that PC from a 2 screens setup and through a software that lets me see Windows as it was on 2 screens.

Anyway, why is all black? any idea? the video stream I receive from the office is smooth but I don't want to run OBS from my home PC and record the remote session (low quality, eventually dropped frames). I think the best thing is running the game on the office PC and running OBS on the office PC as well.

Do you agree? I hope I was clear.

How do you access that PC? If it is RDP that is your problem, VNC should work.

Thanks, I don't know exactly what it means but my IT department was saying that our software (Pulse) is different from Anydesk for example

By the way, I solved the issue saying OBS to record the window of the game instead of the screen

It was working fine until at some point it just decided not to work, discord still can capture and stream my desktop. Reinstalling doesn't help and Streamlabs OBS is affected too.

I am having the same problem, using Team Viewer and Zoho Assist you are unable to see the OBS Studio window from the remote PC. I have used VNC in the past however with 2x remote desktop solutions I am reluctant to add a 3rd. Has anyone had any success with this using Team Viewer or Zoho? Thanks
