Hi,
I’m having a persistent issue with OBS Display Capture and DaVinci Resolve on a Windows 11 laptop.
Problem:
Display Capture records my desktop correctly, but when I switch to DaVinci Resolve, OBS captures a few milliseconds of the Resolve window and then the image turns black.
What I’m trying to do:
I want to record my full screen and switch between apps like VLC and DaVinci Resolve. I am using Display Capture, not Window Capture.
What I already tried:
- Display Capture only
- Capture Method set to "Windows 10" instead of "Automatic"
- OBS set to High Performance GPU in Windows Graphics settings
- DaVinci Resolve set to the same GPU mode as OBS
- Restarted OBS after each change
- OBS run normally / not as admin
Current behavior:
- Desktop capture works
- As soon as I switch to DaVinci Resolve, OBS captures it for a split second
- Then the captured image goes black
