Display Capture Works For Everything, Until I Start A Game

I'm trying to record Assassin's Creed Odyssey on my laptop, I set up the display capture and all seem well until I actually start the game. Then the display freezes and will only start again when I exit the gameplay. The audio works fine. You can still here me play, but you can only see the main screen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use Game Capture. Display Capture is last resort.

have you an LOGfile ?
have you test the notebook fix from the main site of the forum?

Thank you for pointing that out to me. I tried it and it told me to record in mkv/flv. I changed my output setting to that and I still have the same problem. Even though I changed it, when I analyze the log file it keeps telling me to do the same thing even though I'm recording in mkv/flv.

How do I use a game capture device on a laptop? I have this HD Video Capture device, but I mostly use that for my consoles.
