Question / Help Display Capture Not Working Properly

I'm trying to capture my Asus Swift PG27UQ 4k UHD display on OBS, but it doesn't seem to be working properly. On OBS (and also verifying output with recording), the screen appears to be dropping frames while showing the display, however, none of my stats show any dropped frames or rendering lag. It just simply isn't capturing it. I have 3 monitors hooked up to my GPU. Only that one monitor is a 4k. The other 2 are 1080p and the display capture works just fine.

I've read up on this a little bit and I am aware that OBS is being processed on my GPU and not my iGPU, but I also cannot run my games on my iGPU, so, in order for OBS to capture the game, I need to keep OBS on the GPU.

I have a video to better show what the issue is, but I do not know how to upload the video here to the OBS forums.

Attached is my most recent Log file.

Hmm. Interesting.

How much PCIe bandwidth does your motherboard have?

I ask because you have an RX 590 that doesn't seem to be plugged into anything. I can't think why, when running on the 2070, OBS should be able to capture two of the displays connected to it, but not the third. Regarding skipping, though, I could easily see that having a 2nd GPU plugged in may be reducing the bandwidth your 2070 has available to it.

Here’s what is says. I’m still not very well versed in what all the tech lingo is for computer builds, so this was still one area of the motherboard I didn’t fully understand, but I thought both the first slots could do x16.

Your cards are only running in x8. Because of the lmited pci-e bandwidth on your cpu, you only have 16 lanes available to you TOTAL on those slots. Just having the second card installed is reducing your entire system's performance.

Ok.... so I removed and uninstalled the GPU and associated software and driver. The issue is still present though.

Please post another log.

I would also check drivers, as you seem to be describing a problem that is occurring upstream of OBS (which is why we're asking about PCI lanes for the other GPU).
