Question / Help Display capture not working despite fixing "integrate graphics" issue

I'm on a laptop, windows 10. for several months, display capture worked fine. recently, it stopped working. i searched and found that i need to set OBS to run on integrated graphics instead of my nvidia card, but sadly that hasn't fixed the issue, i get black screens for display capture.

what else should i be trying?

A recent Windows patch changed how apps are assigned to GPUs. You may not be running on the right one. Need to see a logfile to check.

You had not actually "fixed" the integrated graphics issue.

this is very strange. i went through the process, and i just went in again to see if the settings stuck, and here's what i see, which seems to match the instructions i'm finding. am i missing something?

That's the old method.The new method uses the windows settings app.
