[EDIT: I think I have it all solved by checking the 'minimize network impact' box. If you have any other recommendations though you can still post them :)]
So my XSplit license ran out and figured I'd try OBS. I really like the program but I'm having one recurring issue. Every about 20/30 minutes, my stream will crash and it'll say "disconnected by server", and then I'll close out OBS, and hit 'start streaming' again and it will bring my stream back.
I've concluded that this is because of my wireless internet. My upload speed is a fairly consistent 7 megabits but the problem is that it's wireless, and I'm not super close to it. So what I think is happening is that my internet hiccups every 20/30 mins and OBS is affected by it. The weird thing is that I've never noticed that and I always stay online on skype and everywhere else.
My question: Why doesn't the program just drop the frames instead of continuously disconnect me and go offline?
I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas? There's no way of me using an ethernet connection but have never had these problems streaming wirelessly with XSplit.
Thanks for reading :)
